Teaching Here

Why teach here

Teachers Who Keep Learning

Happy, growing teachers raise happy, growing children, so we look after ours. This is how a teacher is chosen, trained and given room to grow at Cornerstone.

  1. Chosen with care

You teach a demo lesson to real children. You also sit a test in your own subject. Both count.

  2. Trained our way

Training before term and again mid-year. Child first. Notes that describe what a child did, never judge.

  3. Looked after

A quiet room of your own, and time kept free in the week to plan and think.

  4. Room to grow

Stage lead, subject lead, mentor. You help write the curriculum you teach.

What we look for

Three Things

01

Sharp minds from different paths

Researchers, engineers and fellows, not only people with education degrees. Adults children look up to.

02 · first

A real love for children

Patient, watchful, and at ease sitting on the floor with a six-year-old. We hire for this first.

03

Learners themselves

Still learning something of their own, and happy to say “I don’t know, let’s find out.”

How to apply

Write to us. There is no form.

We hire when a role opens, and we read every note. There is no list of openings on this page, so write whenever you like.

Email admin@cornerstoneschool.in with the subject “Teaching at Cornerstone”. Tell us what you teach, what you are still learning yourself, and why you want to be in a room with children.

If we take it further, you will teach a demo lesson with real children and sit a test in your own subject.
